Canadian email money transfers

A small anecdote about using Canadian email money transfers:

I used to use the system to send money to other Canadian webmasters. The system seemed to work pretty good until one day a recipient clicked on the acceptance link in the mail and the page displayed an error. Poof and the money was gone. It took me several phone calls to get it tracked down and sorted out. The actual exchange of funds happened at that moment i clicked on "send" with my bank. If the receiving server takes too long to respond, the sending server still processes as normal and thinks the recipient has been successfully paid.
